I am the mother of two amazing boys, proud military spouse, as well as, a fitness and nutrition enthusiast. I have been practicing as a personal trainer since August 2016 and have helped a number of clients with their personal goals. I am very excited to start offering online personal training in order to reach clients all around the world in a very personalized and detailed way.
I went to College for two years for my Associates in Business, during that time I joined Beachbody and to this day I continue to help clients who chose that route. I not only help clients reach their goals but I work at a near by elementary school in the Special Education department. As you can see my life purpose is helping those in need.
I was born and raised in a small border town in Arizona, and I currently reside in Gilbert, Arizona with my husband, children, and dogs! I’ve been with my husband, Steve since we were freshman in high school. He is my soul mate and my world, there aren’t very many memories I can think of that don’t include him. He is an active duty Marine and I couldn’t be more proud of him.
My name is Liselle West
and I am an NASM Certified Personal Trainer.
Steve and I had our first child at 18 years old, and even though times were hard we pushed each other and both graduated college with honors. Soon after he followed his dream to be a United States Marine and I supported him. He then pursued to pushed me towards mine, we had our second son and that is when the fitness spark became a flame.
My story might sound familiar, typical yo-yo dieter who tried every fad diet out there. Some things worked for a few days (weeks if I was lucky) but always went back to my old ways and gained it all back. It wasn’t until I sought out for help that I was able to reach my goals.
It started with Beachbody, then joining a fitness team. Little did I know investing in my health would be life changing. I learned that exercise, positivity and good nutrition goes side by side. I made small goals that lead to a big accomplishment, which was to compete in my first bikini competition. During that time the military relocated us from Southern California to Arizona and I was suffering from abdominal pain. I went to see my doctor and I was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) but because of my active lifestyle, I had none of the common symptoms, besides the painful cysts.
Living this lifestyle has helped tremendously keep my PCOS symptoms under control. Most significantly it's given me the confidence to strive after my passion for helping others. I am not the most educated, smoothest talker or greatest salesperson in the world, but I will meet the needs of my clients.
I take every day as an opportunity to learning something new, constantly evolving and growing to better myself inside and out. I want to continue focusing my positive energy and knowledge in helping others in their fitness journey, so I continue to add certifications under my name. As of today, I am certified in Behavior Change, Fitness Nutrition, Corrective Exercise, Weight Loss Specialist, Group Personal Training and Goniometry, all through NASM.
Never give up because your start does not determine how you’re going to finish.
